Dr. Kohler is passionate about drug discovery and has worked on the development of both small molecule and antibody-based therapeutics for oncology indications. Always on the lookout for new technology, Dr. Kohler led CRISPR-based screening efforts to discover novel drug targets. She views CRISPR screening as an impactful component of target discovery pipelines offering the potential to uncover new targets and thus expand treatment options for patients. She is currently a Senior Scientist in Protein Engineering at CytomX Therapeutics and was previously a Scientist in Protein Chemistry at Plexxikon. Dr. Kohler earned her B.S. at the University of California, Davis and her Ph.D. at The Rockefeller University where she studied mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis using x-ray crystallography and biochemical techniques. She completed her Postdoctoral training at Sandia National Laboratories and at the University of California, Davis.
