Vera Grinkevich is a principal scientist and a team leader at Artios Pharma, Cambridge, UK. Throughout her scientific career Vera has gained extensive experience in molecular biology of cancer and cancer therapeutics. She received her PhD from Karolinska institute followed by EMBO postdoctoral fellow at the University of Siena and postdoc at Sanger Institute, Cambridge UK. During her academic career, her research has largely focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of action and target validation of various anti-cancer discovery compounds and drugs. She has worked extensively on resistance to targeted anti-cancer therapies and finding ways to overcome it using genome-wide CRISPR screens. In 2017 she joined Artios Pharma a newly established company for developing novel anti-cancer DDR drugs. Currently Vera is leading the Line of Sight team with a major focus on phenotypic assays and screens to facilitate drug development, disease positioning and patient selection biomarkers.
