Steve Smith joined Horizon Discovery in 2019 and has been part of the company's dedicated focus on providing market-leading tools for examining gene function. At Horizon Discovery, Steve uses his 13 years of commercial, scientific experience to help our customers choose the right tools for their application.
Steve completed a BS in Biological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado. His research in Dr. Deborah Roess's lab focused on membrane events during cellular signaling, using biochemical and optical methods. Professionally, his career has focused on tools to study gene functions as well as microscopy and imaging.
